Visiting a church for the first time (or the first few times) can be intimidating, but knowing what to expect can help put you at ease.
SERVICES
Our worship service begins at 9:30 AM and typically lasts ~60 minutes. Every service includes blended worship (contemporary music and hymns), prayer, fellowship, and a biblically rooted sermon. We set the table for Communion on the first Sunday of every month.
DO I NEED A BIBLE?
Everyone is welcome to bring their own Bible to worship, but we also have copies available for your use in the pews. Our Scripture readings are displayed on the projector screens.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR
At Park Ridge, we welcome you just as you are. You will find people dressed in whatever makes them comfortable for worship — anything from suits and dresses to jeans or shorts.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
We love children and look forward to welcoming them to our services. Children's Bulletins or activities are provided. Currently, we have an unstaffed nursery with an audio feed of the service offered for families who need to use it. We hope that families will feel welcome and encouraged to worship together as we work together to support our growing needs at all ages and stages.
During the school year (September to May), we offer Wednesday Evening programming for our children (ages 2-12) and our youth group (PowerHouse) from 6:45 to 8:00 PM.
ACCESSIBILITY
Our parking lot provides accessible parking spaces near the entrance, including one for new or expectant parents. The entrance and first level are wheelchair accessible, and we do have an elevator lift that provides access to the lower level classrooms, kitchen, and Fellowship Hall. Our worship service is screen reader accessible with the song lyrics, responsive and Scripture readings, and key sermon points provided on screen.
8:30 AM Bible Study (Sept. - May)
This inductive Bible Study group led by Lance & Debbie Mitchell is intergenerational and meets in the lower level in the Fireplace Room.
9:30 AM Worship Service
Intergenerational, joyful, Spirit-fueled worship in our Sanctuary. Children are welcomed and encouraged to remain in worship. We do offer a nursery with audio feed for parents who wish to leave the sanctuary.
10:30 AM Coffee & Fellowship
Stick around after the service for a snack and some good conversation--our people love to linger!
10:45 AM Bible Studies (Sept. - May)
Mark & Evie Alessi lead a Bible study for adults in the Fireplace Room on the lower level.
Pam Rende leads a book-based study in the Meeting Room on the first floor.
