As we move forward in King David's life during our chronological journey, we see an example of a time when he lacked discernment and trusted what he could count more than the faithful God who had proven Himself time and again. As a result, he faces God's judgment and God's mercy as the place marked by judgment becomes the place where the Lord chooses to dwell among His people.
