Even on Easter Sunday, we continue our chronological journey through Scripture. This week, we see what kind of king God chooses in the anointing of David by Samuel in 1 Samuel 16:1-13. God's ways are not our ways, and he meets us in our desperation with salvation and enduring hope. As His ways become clear to us, we are invited to live in response, cooperating with His grace as He continues His work in us.
