Appointed as career missionaries in January 2008, Dick and Sheila anticipate starting full-time ministry in Belgium by early 2009. Their focus will include leadership development, church planting and children's ministry training. Currently, more than half of the administrative districts in Belgium have no evangelical presence in them. Dick and Sheila's vision is for a vibrant church planting movement to spread across Belgium planting healthy, self-supporting churches in every district that lacks a viable witness of Christ. Dick and Sheila have served the Layhill Free Methodist Church, Silver Spring, MD, for the past seven years. Sheila has also been a teacher in several public schools with a focus on special education.
