We hope that you will take the opportunity to look and discover more about Park Ridge Free Methodist Church.

History of Park Ridge Free Methodist Church

The Park Ridge Free Methodist Church was born under the leadership of Rev. Roy Goodrich. Organized in 1946 the early church met in a rented pony barn at the corner of Ridge Road and Fetzner (current location of The Marriot). Two years later we became an official church and in 1950 built a new church on Ridge Road at a cost of $28,000.00 (currently a Starbucks).

With a vision for greater ministry a 5 acre site was purchased from the Wegman family and on September 28, 1969 the current facility located at the corner of Straub Rd and Long Pond was dedicated. Since that time the church has continued to experience healthy growth as they reach out to the community of Greece and the greater Rochester area.

Although Park Ridge has had several pastors over the years, the most recent minister, Rev. Laverne Bates, faithfully served as senior pastor from 1994 and retired in December 2007. Pastor Deano Pulice is now serving as the current senior pastor and has a heart for leading this congregation into new ventures with a heart for becoming "fully devoted followers of Christ".
